Outdoor Kitchen

Our client in Waltham Abbey is a highly skilled Chef and therefore wanted an outdoor kitchen area that he could be proud of together with a beautiful garden that his partner could enjoy. She had some great ideas about how the garden should look together with other seatings areas, planting and other buildings for her working space.

They purchased the property a few years previous and had recently had the house renovated. Once complete they turned their focus to the outdoor space when they contacted us. The garden was to include:

• A covered rustic structure which would house an outdoor seating area, a kitchen, pizza oven, outdoor open oven, sink, refrigerator and a bar
• Beautiful planting
• Full irrigation system for lawn and borders
• Full lighting and electrics for the outdoor kitchen and up lighters around the garden (wifi enabled)
• Re-use of existing materials

The design alone took time, careful consideration, research and lots of planning but they loved it! Ben and his team were fantastic as always prepping the site and getting the levels right before they started paving re-using the slabs to create the crazy paving around the lower patio area. York Stone was lifted and re-laid under the gazebo and oak sleeper steps were installed that lead up to the main lawn and also create extra seating areas. They also installed a tank filled and pumped irrigation system that sources the whole garden and replaced all the fences.

Camen’s gazebo, if you can even call it that, is a monster and absolutely stunning! The whole structure and kitchen was built by hand and the live edge work tops complete the rustic look of the whole design.

Warren and his team have done a great job with the lighting; even the underside of the steps and bar have strip lighting which look beautiful at night. The chandeliers on the underside of the outdoor kitchen together with the heaters enable our clients to sit out all evening long with their friends.

The planting team prepped the borders, added trees and planted lots of evergreens and perennials to add colour and texture to the garden. Climbers were added to the beautiful iron pergola which will look beautiful in a few months.
